The Crosby Hook is intended for use as an emergency escape line anchor hook. This hook may be used to anchor a rope to any acceptable strength point in the area being exited. There are several ways to load the hook, including placing it over a window sill: the user does a slow roll out while keeping the hook loaded (under tension) and holding it in place while exiting. Hook is intended to be a component of a system specifically designed by a qualified person for firefighter escape.
