Fire Axe Inc. produces Firefighter axes that are identical to the original 'Seagrave Axe'. The 4lb Head is mirror polished steel and measures 10" long, including the 3 3/4'" Pick. This firefighter pick head axe has a 28” Hickory Wood or Nupla Fiberglass handle.

The wooden handle is made by American craftsmen of the finest 2nd growth Tennessee Hickory. And it’s attached to the head not with a single wedge, like most axes, but four! One lateral wood wedge and three additional metal wedges work together to brace the head in all dimensions.

The brown Nupla fiberglass handle was designed to mimic the look of a traditional wooden handle. The fiberglass handle is rated at an incredible 1200 lbs! It is also heavily epoxied to the head.
